Interesting, but I guess we're back to the OP's original question of identifying via VIN I suppose? I am pretty confident I have a true tactical appearance package with the wheels and tire cover shown in the HummerGuy.net preview (assuming those are the true factory items) but now I am curious about the badges thing. I am the second owner of the vehicle, it's a 2007 and I bought it in 2010 with 11,000 miles on it so I guess the dealership must have bought it at an auction that placed the badges or did it themselves. I think I'd like to remove them, don't really dig the chrome anyhow, any suggestions. I'll search around the web, I'm sure there's a YouTube tutorial out there.

The true tactical rims are almost impossible to find now and the spare tire covers go for big bucks too.
The tire cover is pretty nice but I had to sew the zipper back on mine and then I followed that up by drilling a 3/4" hole for an aftermarket backup camera, DOH!

I will post pics of my rig as soon as I figure out how to do that on this site. mine is all black with two tone black and tan interior, 16 inch black solid 7 spoke rims as supposed to the split 7s in morgan design pic. I have read that the TEs were assembled in louisianna, which doing a vin check I found that mine was built in LA. also I want to add performance to this ride any suggestions on which packages to look into?

All LHD (Left Hand Drive) H3s were built at the Shreveport LA plant where they also made the GMT 355s (Colorado/Canyon trucks).

The other H3 plant was in Port Elizabeth South Africa building RHDs for Africa, Australia and parts of Europe.

Performance for the 3.7L: Intake, PP Throttle Body, PCM tune, Efan conversion, CAT back exhaust.

Not trying in any way to bust some *****, just wanted you to be aware that there were "dealer made" TEs. Just because somebody added some badges does not mean that it is not a genuine factory TE, but it is something to look into.
