Default New (to me) H3

I joined the forum last month. I have been searching for the right H3 for quite a while. I just bought a one owner 2009 H3 Alpha with the Off Road Package in Solar Flare Metallic in Texas.
It was located just 22 miles from where my oldest son lives, so he was able handle the purchase for me.
I can't pick it up until after Thanksgiving so it is now at Hennessey Performance for a tune.
My wife and I moved to Utah (for the hunting, fishing, skiing, and off-roading) in August and we are going to use the H3 when we have snow (her car not well suited to snow) and to travel the west. I wanted something that will handle the 4wd only roads out here as well as being able to go to Moab.
Besides the tune, I plan on a set of Duratracs, rock rails, a winch, extra lighting and an air compressor. I have already purchased a GM Accessory ski rack.
I was glad to find this site, there is a ton of good info here. Maybe I will see some of you guys out in the middle of nowhere.

Hello and Welcome from MI. Nice rig.

You may want to add some UCP to your mod list if you plan on wheeling it.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the rig.. Love the color.. You will love the Duratracs.. Yeah listen to what Tainter said about the UCP.. IF your are going to do any serious wheeling you should have it if you dont already. Especially if you are going to play out in the land of many rocks. Moab... Post up some pics when you get your rig home and start with the mods...

Default UCP/Duratracs

I agree about the UCP. I haven't seen the H3 yet and don't know what it has for factory skid plates. I am thinking either a Predator winch mount or an ARB bumper. I believe with the Predator, the GM UCP for the Alpha won't work.
We have Duratracs on 3 vehicles, my GMC 2500HD Duramax, my older sons Dodge Power Wagon, and my younger son's Wrangler. We are very happy with those Goodyears.
