Default New H3 owner questions

Hello!

Just a few questions that hopefully can get cleared up for me.

1. I know this has been asked a bunch but I'll be driving 80% on road and 20% in the desert, would 35" tires be too much for the 3.5 i5 with adventure package? I would get C or D rated and 295 or 305 width on the stock 16" rim. How much effect will it have on acceleration on the highway?

2. Can I hook up a backup camera to the OEM navigation system that comes stock?

3. Are exhaust and cold air intake upgrades worth it? What other preformance upgrades could you guys recomend?

4. What have been your favorite upgrade interior or exterior?

Apreciate any thoughts!

Might be helpful to know year model and trim level.

1. Stock rim size is not an issue, load range D. 35s are not "too much" for the I5, but it will dog out performance beyond what I would tolerate. Since you do not wheel much, do you need an extra 3/4" clearance to suck up power and fuel all day every day everywhere?

2. NO, you still need a display screen and any stock radios are old as dirt...

3. Yes. Exhaust is nothing but sound by itself. My 07 had Air Doc Intake, AFE Pro Dry-S Air Filter, PCM Tune, Efan conversion, port & polish TB and MagnaFlow Cat Back Exhaust.

4. Why of course.......... Brand new quality Stinger Battery Terminal Connectors.

Thank you for the detailed reply, more than I was expecting and helps a lot!

It's on 06 adventure package and I would guess fully loaded iterior. I got a great deal on it for only having 70k miles.

I'm getting 305/70R16 or 295/75R16 tires instead of 315/75R16. I'll post a pic when it's done!

305s are an excellent choice. 33" instead of 35", but basically the same tread width.

06 Adventures have a locking rear diff with a button for it on the dash. If it has leather then it becomes a Lux Offroad.

I added AirDoc, PCM Tune from PCM of NC, and AEM filter to my I5. It's not like adding a turbo charger, but it does make a noticeable power increase and I have no regrets with any of these upgrades.

I'd stay with the 33's, torsion bar lift to level the front, and add some extended travel Bilsteins and extended bumpstops.
