Default Need Help Brake Pedal Spring getting Hot!!

Hello,
We have a 2007 Hummer h3. We have had so many problems out of this thing it's crazy. But anyway this is the problem we drove the hummer, the next day the hummer wouldn't crank and the brake pedal spring is getting hot and shooting sparks. I understand that it could be a wire grounding out somewhere but we have been over everything in the last week. We can't find anything!!! This may also be related to the problem to but not sure the before all this the front driver wheel fell off going down the road and 4 studs had broke. We fix that and inspect everything it look good. 3 days later it started the problems listed above. Has anyone else had this problem or have a idea of what to do?

Welcome.

MOVED because the New Member section is strictly for hellos.

Your front wheel falling off has nothing to do with anything except failure to take care of your vehicle and is not related to your electrical short near the brake pedal. Are you talkin about the emergency brake or the brake?

Hello,
Thanks for answering but 1st off on taking care of the hummer we have only had the hummer for 8 months and have only drove it maybe a month altogether with all the problems we have had. The answer to your question is the brake.

Did you check the ABS line if it's cut or damaged somewhere and causing this short?

Hey,
Yes we have. We have went over all the wiring harness and wires to seloides. We just can't figure it out or what we are missing.

have you checked the brake switch on the brake pedal or look up under the dash to see if the pedal arm is pinching wires and shorting.

Yes, we have the dash torn out and no bare, skint or pinched wires. The only thing we haven't tried is changing the plug. Not sure if it will make a difference.

No it doesn't. The wire to the female end is a little loose but other than that nothing is wrong with it
