You had 5 adults in your H3? Wow, I feel sorry for the people that had to sit in the back. lol If there's anything the H3 is known for, it's definitely NOT the backseat legroom.

 

This past summer i did a 1900 mile round trip from appleton wi. to Lancaster Pa. to visit my sister. except for going thru chicago, i guess my avg. speed was at least 68mph. which includes a full tank of fuel at 73 mph on parts of the indiana-ohio toll road. i dont think i ever dipped below 18mpg. didnt tow anything but was loaded to the hilt with bagage, metal dog crate, huge german shepherd in the back etc. however with the 315's on the H3 now i wouldnt expect similar results however i will be doing the same trip in the summer of 2010

 

What kind of bikes do you have?

 

went to Nags Head from Ohio....about 1400 miles...3 adults,suitcases and surfboard on my Yak rack....stock tires at the time...best tank was 19 mpg..then I had to go put the 315's on...!! haha Still loving it,but getting 14 MPGs now...don't care tho...
