Default Knock Knock in rain

2007 H3 Auto,130k
In the rain and rain only..i pick up a tick, tap, knock whatever noise you want to call it from what sounds like backside of the dash on drivers side. No water on floor. 1st time I heard it, I thought speedometer cable about to break(no cable)..and if you ever had a vehicle with one, you know what I mean. Radio up some, cannot hear it. No Rain.No noise. I am sure it is water,my question is anyone else has encountered this strange noise?

Does the noise stop, when you move the wiper switch, to the off position?

If you hear it while moving it is the rubber seals on both A pillar covers.
Some have used 3M double sided tape. Removed the A pillar covers and put a thin band of double sided tape on the rubber seals then reattached to the A pillar and window.

Only hear this when it rains. light rain, not so much but a steady rain I will hear it. Takes awhile before the noise starts so I guess the water has to build up in some way.
And no critters that only wake up during riding in the hard rain.lol

do all of your heating/cooling modes work like defrost? maybe an actuator trying to adjust a stuck vent.

Possibly water dripping through drain hoses or firewall grommet? Or just the sound when it is raining of the water running through those hoses? I know that on our old 06 H3 the drain tube was not fully seated and some dripping did occur but just enough to make a spot of rust on the bare metal under the driver side dash near firewall.

To proceed Happy Hummers input.... do you have a sunroof? Do you have the over cab running lights?

And yes, sun warped aged A Pillars make the noise you are describing to a T.
