Default Hummer h3 not going into gear

H3 was driving then no forward or reverse. Just neutrals. Got it into 4lo and it moved forward then that stopped and just neutral. I see the seal on the transfer case is sticking out. Grinds now when leaving park but still only neutrals.

Welcome to HF. Whenever you ask any question, YEAR, MODEL, MILES and any recent work done just prior to the onset of symptoms.

Have you ever owned any vehicle long enough to know what happens when your Transmission dies? When was the last time the Trans Fluid and Filter were changed? Check the Trans fluid, wipe the dipstick with a clean white cloth/paper towel and report the color. See hummerz' color chart....

is it one of the axel seals? are one of the differentials popping out or bad U joints?
