Default Headlights stuck on

Hey valiant members, 2007 Hummer H3,
recently purchased this bad boy and I go to outside and the headlights are on.

They were off hours before. I go to turn them off but they are in the auto position as usual.

I start the H3, turn it off. They are still stuck on.

Disconnect the battery to not be stranded. I did see one thread that was not very conclusive and didnt want to necrobump. Thanks for any thoughts!

Thanks Himmerz!!! Great, much appreciated Disconnected for the whole night. Woke up, reconnected negative terminal and like magic lights off, I will have to wait to see if it does it again.

Also to note it was all lights, low beams, side turn signals and back lights as if it was running with headlights on.

2007, yes it has a sunroof. And it was right after a light hailstorm (for reference).

So................. ah ha, you have a sunroof, but not a sinroof.

OK, has you passenger side floor been wet? You need to make sure the sunroof drains are not plugged up with crud. There are some threads here about the fix for clogged sunroof drains. When the drains are plugged, the sunroof leaks above the headliner down the passenger side A pillar and onto the BCM, its harness and/or connecters = not good.

Hahaa, yeah I had the sunroof in Las Vegas. Sunroof in Indiana.

No wet floor but great idea to check for leaks. Luggage rack rails may have some intrusion. Going to seal it up.

It was a rainy night so you could have hit the nail on the head even if the floor wasn't soaked

Thank you much!!!
