H3 LED problem
I have been trying to put new LED headlights in my H3 and I can not get it to work. One will have the high beam on and the other the lower beam. When I switched it to high beam they go off. Switched sides with the lights and same problem just opposite side. They came with the plug harness which of course didn't work so had to take the wires out and switch them. Any suggestions?

As far as the problem you're having, you'd have to be more specific for me to help you out. What do you mean you took the wires out and switched them? Which wires? What kind of harness? If you can take pics and/or describe in detail how you have them wired up I may be able to help as I have a lot of experience with lighting.
take the bulbs and by process of elimination figure out what wire is Hi, Low, and ground. since you had to re wire them they are probably not right. with the bulbs in hand, you can jump the wires to your battery. the way to know what is ground if it is a 3 wire bulb is it would be shared by Hi and Low. to determine which is high or low look at the brightness or look at the instructions if it is a dual led to see what side is what. as for the truck side you can use a test light and determine which is High or Low by connecting one side of the test light to a battery ground then turn your headlights on. notice what is low... then cycle the lights to high. remember what wire is what and the one that's left should be ground as it will not light the grounded test light. once you determine the ground, test it as well with the test light. probe the socket ground and connect the other side of the test light to battery positive. the test light should light; if it does not then you might have a bad ground to that particular light socket.
Sorry should have been more specific before but just so frustrated. So when I said I had to switch wires it was on the plug as shown in the picture because it did nothing at all. The other pic is what my actual wires from my hummer. When I tested them the middle wire is the only one that reads anything on high and low beam.
Ok I'm actually still a little confused as to what you're doing here, I originally thought you meant you were just replacing your bulbs with LEDs but i see that you meant the entire lamp. With that said, I have never seen a circular H3 headlight lamp like the one in your pics, how is that supposed to fit on an H3? Is that a fog light, or do you have some sort of kit? That looks more like an H2 light to me than an H3.
Also, I am assuming your original lights worked fine, right? If so that would rule out any possibility of an open/shirt circuit scenario in the stock wiring.
And sorry, but a few more questions... can you link me to this aftermarket light? Or give me a brand name so I can take a look at it?
Sorry for so many questions but if you can answer them I'll do some research and try to help you out.

The reason the light isn't working is because the orange wire in the middle is both the low beam and high beam on my H3 when I tested it with a test light. The blue and pink wires don't light the light or give a reading on my volt tester. The headlight unit has different plugs (wires) for high and low beam. Any suggestions? I don't know enough about the wiring to understand how the same wire is the high and low beam.
usually on the H3 it goes.
Orange = low beam
Blue = ground
pink = high beam
it can be both as the bulb is dual filament. so keeps the both the lows on and the pink also turns on when in high. so 2 power wires on high orange and pink.

So why does the pink wires not light up the test light when I have the high beam on? Also are you saying I would have to run two wires off of the orange to hook one to the low beam and one to the high beam? Thanks for the answers, not trying to be a pain.
