Default h3 hood handles

I need help ... I have tried two different handles for the hood and I Dont think either look good ... does anyone have suggestions on other handles I could try? The first handles I purchased were approximately 1 1\2 inches tall ... and the other was approximately 1 inch tall ... I dont like the style of the 1" handles ... I love the style of the 1 1/2" handles however I think they are too tall for the H3 ... Has anyone found a third option? can anyone help?

I like both, it's up to you, don't over think it.

I have the top ones on mine and like them:

For an inexpensive and attractive option, check out the link below. I bought two grout floats from HD, removed the handles and mounted them on my hood. Forget paying $2-300 for a set of hood handles. I spent $10 for two floats and the bolts to secure them. I like the look of the bigger handles and think these turned out pretty sweet.

To grasp the concept of hood handles, you might want to know what they are for????

Per the discontinued H.O.P.E. program and training at the AM General Off-Road Course, hood handles are used to keep your winch control cable on the hood and out of the front tires when winching out of an obstacle. With the taller version, you pass the winch controller through the handle and into the driver window, with the SMA lower type, the winch cable lays across the hood between the handles and into the driver window so it cannot just slide off. It works.

Or, you can just pretend and get whatever the heck you want.

I got the chrome SMAs, sand blasted them, and painted them black to mach the BA Bumper and rock rails, $23.00 shipped to my door from ebay, includes SS mounting hardware. They were available in black or chrome, but since SMA is long out of business, you grab what you see when you see it.

I got a pair of triple chrome plated billet aluminum handles off e-bay cheap.
I then sand blasted them and sprayed them with Rustoleum Bed Liner.
That was 3 years ago and they still look great.
