Default H3 exhaust mod.

I have a cat back system and cannot find a cat forward system to complete the exhaust, Thinking about removing the cat since they are not required in my state and run straight pipe @ 2.5 inch so the whole system flows better on the I5 engine, Looking for advice for more performance, already have chip and K&N ?.

The mini cat in the exhaust manifold is the pinch point so basically what you do down stream may change sound, but it isn't going to do much in the performance boost department. Does a Cat back help? Sure. Will it help as part of a performance package? Yep.

Try an intake, PP TB, Efan Conversion, Cat Back and PCM tune.

Prey tell what kind of "chip" do you already have?

I have a Jet chip. So the cat itself and the small tubing from the manifold to the cat back system is the problem. If I remove the cat and upsize the pipe will that work?
