Default H3 drivers side half axle

I've replaced this side 3 times with in 5k miles. Just recently replacing it after 300 miles.. ugh!!! But this one wont pop off.. what gives??? And why would it be just the drivers side that's getting torn up??

have they checked your transfer case bushes, your ball joints and your wheel bearings. maybe something is not squared off properly from a previous collision.

Welcome to HF.

Year and total miles on the truck when this started would be helpful, as the half shafts on early (2006 - mid 2008) were different than later years. The later redesigned half shafts are larger in diameter to hold up to the V8 TQ.

Any modifications done prior to this problem?

What brand half shafts were you using... cheap Asian replacements are cheap for a reason and some were made too short to last.

I would never use anything than the AC Delco shafts and I have never had a problem with them.

Like Doc says, i replaced both, just 1 time and that years ago with the AC Delcos. Never had problems after replacement.

Year? Mileage?
What is the measurement from the center of the front hub to the bottom of the fender flare?
What brand half shafts are you using?

Is your transfercase accidently in 4Hi lock? Have you replaced the plastic transfercase shift fork with the aluminum replacement? This same post comes up every few months on the various hummer forums and typically ends up being related to the transfercase

About to have it stolen..been 3 weeks now.. GM sucks, should of listened to my 14 year old son. Just bought a f350 7.3 to drag this pig into the woods and light it on fire. All it's good for is a home for wildlife anyway. What a waste of time and money.

Not the smartest thing to post on the World Wide Web if you're serious!

Dude, really? You need both patience and anger management therapy. Take it to a reputable shop and have them repair it with genuine GM parts and be done with it.
