I'm sure the 350z owners know as much about HUMMERs as HUMMER owners know about the 350z which isn't much and just what they have "heard".

But, let me be honest with you. Don't buy any HUMMER and expect hybrid like fuel consumption. That is not what they where made to do, they where made to be very capable and comfortable OFfRoad vehicles.

Mate if you already have a Nitro, I would not worry about h3 economy, just get one and you will love it, have had many 4X4's in the past, will never sell my Hummer.....love it to death!

Just wish we could get the V8 version here, then it would be upgrade time for me.

Yea of course. I'm not trying to beat my current.MPG. however I also don't wanna cut it n half. I just want a good reliable vehicle that I can modify that gets OK MPG

If I was going to buy another h3 I would drive it for a weekend if I could. Just test drive it for as long as you can and you'll see. And expect lose a few mpg after you add bigger tires, a brush guard and a rack. Leveling it won't help the mpg either, but changing the exhaust, adding an intake and tune will probably get you back a few of mpg's. I'm changing things slowly on mine to see what the effects are. I love driving it and like they say, "Hummer - Like Nothing Else". It is a capable and comfortable ORV for sure.

You can ask me what I think of foreign crap, I'll be glad to share. From what I hear, those rice burners have little ground clearance, suck at rock crawling, no real good winch mounting location, do a poor job of water fording, and can't get out of their own way in 2' of snow or steep hill climbs?

Assume you will get 15 +/- 2mpg and you should be pretty safe. I know 13mpg and 17mpg is a pretty big difference, but with so many variables we can't tell you exactly what you will get. Supposedly things like an Airdoc intake and PCMforless tune will get you an extra couple mpg along with other improvements. You'd have to drive a lot of miles before the fuel savings made up for the cost of the upgrades, that's not really the point of them, but a couple more mpg is a nice little addition to the HP and other improvements.

Ok, I know I didn't buy a Camry man. All I was asking is anyone else seeing like 9mpg's highway or anything after there addons. I read other people with these addons getting like 13-17 but thats what I was getting stock. I know I bought a hummer and it dosn't bother me to the point of wanting to sell or trade because I love this truck it is truly amazing. I just was inquiring, that's all.

Yeah, if you're getting lower mpg on the highway than you are in town, something is wrong. I don't have any mods that would lower my mpg, so when I drive 70 on the highway I'm getting at least 18mpg most of the time. If I were to do the mods you have I would guess my mpg would drop maybe 2 or 3 mpg. That's just a guess. Good luck figuring it out, I think it's worth the work too.

you need to look at rpms too.my memory is no good but i keep looking at 2000 rpm and,,??mph! cant rem. think its 60.
ill write it down this aft!
is the torq converter locking at 45+mph? if so with light pressure on gas rpm should not jump like it does < 45mph.
it will jump 500+ rpm < 45 or with a heavy foot! without speed change.
that alone would do it at highway spd.
