Default Front skid plate

Are the front skid plates necessary if I do not plan on doing any off road driving? I want easy access to change the oil and get to the oil filter without the hassle of taking them off every time.

I'll venture to say you MPG will dip.

It is only 4 bolts, 2 of which do not need to be removed all the way? With a Fumoto Oil Change drain plug you only have to take off the front plate. You guys are seriously talking LAZY.

Option 2 is to cut access holes in the plates. If you were ambitious you could make removable covers for the holes. Something I've done on a different vehicle.

Well, I guess you got your answer lol!

I just struggle with those few bolts and it's not all that bad...
I guess I could just remove the engine changing oil all together and save all the Hassel.

Cool

Or you could take lazy to the highest level. I pay my local mechanic, who is a friend of mine, to have my oil changed. Not worth me crawling under my vehicle and in the winter, who really wants to lay on their back on a cold, icy driveway. See, no skid plate removal required.
