Front End Squeak

Front End Squeak
I apologize if this is the wrong area, I'm new to the forum. I just recently bought an H3. The previous owner had cranked up the torsion bars, and I have an awful squeak coming from the front drivers side. When I try to recreate it when its parked, it seems to be coming from the shock. But that doesnt seem right to me. Anyone else experience this after a torsion bar lift? Any help is appreciated

A bad shock can squeak.
"Cranked up the torsion bars" is really a misnomer, all it takes is an adjustment and they were intended to work that way on the H3. GM knew these were off road vehicles that owners would add larger tires and winches etc...
Your squeak could be a rusty T Bar key/bolt making noise, could be a bad ball joint, could be a dried out sway bar link, even a wheel bearing. One way to track it down is to spray some liquid lube (like PB Blaster all purpose lubricant NOT WD-40) on one item at a time, then drive it a while. If it continues, lube the next thing and so on until it quiets down, then you know you found it. Look for the obvious, like a leaking shock, dried out bushing etc....
Good luck.
