Default Faded fake hood louver / vent removed.

Due to my daughter getting in a small meet and greet with a school bus. I took the opportunity to get rid of the horrible fake hood vent. Mine would catch water and kindly release it on the freeway after a washing. I am glad I had it done now.
Notice the recall repair, nice water trap.

And after, nice smooth clean look.

Default Useless Plastic Gone

Getting a neglected 06 H3 back on the road. It had been sitting under a tree for several years, so I am very aware of all the places debris can accumulate. Lots stuck under the stupid plastic ‘vent’, so now it and the TEN holes GM put in the hood to hold it down are gone. Since removing the urethane adhesive didn’t do any favors for the paint underneath; I cleaned it up and used some Herculiner. I think it looks better, personally, and there is a lot less glare off the hood on sunny days.

Welcome to HF.

Personally, I have no problem with the hood vent. I do not like that you dug up a SEVEN YEAR OLD THREAD and tacked this on the end. You should have just started a new one.
