Question Engine vibration help

Hey guys new to the forum and new to my H3 and need some help. I have an engine vibration that I can’t figure out. No CELs, just a vibration that starts after the engine is warm at idle or in drive at a stop light.

What I tried so far: cleaned MAF and TB, replaced both cam sensors and crank sensor. Replaced cam actuator. Replaced spark plugs and coils.

My H3: 06 luxury with 3.5L, silver with black 20” rims on 35s. Trying to fix it up to do some mild off roading with the family.

you have to do a crank relearn with a capable scanner after replacing crank sensors

I didn’t know that. Thanks! I will try that next.

I5s vibrate because they are not inherently balance like a 6 or 8. Hope you used OEM replacement sparkplugs because I5s will eat up aftermarket plugs in short order.

Also check the motor mounts. I5 are inherently unbalanced compared to most engines.
I have seen many of them rotted away or torn.

I did the crank sensor re-learn with a programmer but I still have the same problem.

I cleaned the pcv valve in the valve cover and it made a small improvement! I was skeptical that this would make a difference but was happily surprised. So far this has made the biggest difference in the vibration issue.

I5 H3s do not have a PCV valve. They have 2 calve cover vacuum ports/baffles, one to the intake manifold, the other to the intake itself. Take a look at this old thread about cleaning them out. Oil sucking out PCV ?

Appears this is the first I5 you have owned so you may/might be overreacting to inherent vibration which is never going to go away. IDK since we can feel the vibration you are concerned with and you are not complaining about a rough idle?

My H3 vibrates also at idle, you can see it and feel it in the steering wheel...I'm used to it.

Just for context, I was an original owner of a 05 canyon that was perfectly smooth. What I'm feeling is definitely not normal. I believe the 3.5/3.7 have been given a rough-running reputation just because they have 5 cylinders. The clogged crankcase vent on the valve cover has been fixed, but now I'm getting white smoke out of the tail pipe on cold starts. I think I'm going to pull the cover and clean it really well.

What is a normal idle RPM on a warm engine? I'm getting about 550-600 once its warm.
