Will the V8 from the 2010 fit in a 2006 hummer H3

I think so, but did you think about your axles? What H3 model is it? I think that only the Alphas came with iron cast diffs that support the V8. Will you change axles , SAS planed?

I didnt know about the axles....i got 230000 on my i5 , its just so guttless. I like my hummer just want more acceleration.

So it would be easier to put in a charger and get 305 or 315 HP. You don't need to change axels, GEIGER Cars in Germany did this on few H3 I5.

Sell the one you have and BUY and Alpha. A V8 is not a direct bolt in swap.....

There are many issues that you have not even thought of when asking your question.

Not sure of the specifics, but when the Alpha came out in '08 there were revisions to the firewall to accommodate the 5.3l V8. Something that I'm sure you won't be able to change. Like Doc said, just buy an Alpha.
