Default Eating oil?

Hey folks 2007 hummer H3 about 130k miles
is it normal that every once in a While like the oil drop lower a bit? I am talking about engine oil. Transmission is the same. I just checked my engine oil today it still plenty is there but it’s little below full mark. Checked all under no leak or leak residue anywhere. Brand new head gasket no leak. No dark smoke from exhaust . Nothing unusual .

the only thing I noticed before is when I took the intake manifold there was a little oil there but folks from what I remembered said that’s normal cus it suck some of that thro the pvc

is that normal?? And is it normal for the h3 to do that and like eat oil?

when i rebuilt the engine I put new valve seals and new gaskets and all too

Probably. Mine will sometimes need a top off between oil changes. I'm talking maybe a few ounces to a pint tops.

There is no PCV valve on the I-5. Sometimes the filter thing inside the valve cover gets plugged up.
I lose a good bit of oil, not sure how, but it seems to really go when running on the interstate.

mostly sludge buildup and carbon. i think yours is integrated into the valve cover.

Only when the GM OLMS says to, never before..... usually 7000 to 9000 miles.

And yes, every 4 stroke engine made consumes oil as it runs. Leaks are another thing.
