Easy fix for loose seatback nets!
3 Attachment(s)
Like many, the nets on my seatbacks were loose, and fell off easily whenever rear seat passengers bumped into them. The elastic strap attached to the hooks are just stretched out, and so they hang loose.
Attachment 11331 I had tried twisting the elastic straps to tighten them up, but that didn't really work, and the hooks didn't lay flat. After looking at them, I came up with a cheap easy fix that anyone can do. Pop them off (really easy in the "loose" condition :D), and then take a piece of rubber hose (I used 3/8" diameter, but you can use whatever size is needed to tighten them up sufficiently). Cut 8 pieces (4 for each seat) 3/4" long, and slip them under the elastic strap on the back side. Attachment 11332 Reinstall them. Done! The hooks now hold the pieces tight against the seatback, and still allow some give. Attachment 11333:cool: |
Nice, simple solution. thanks!

Mine were so loose they would fall off going over bumps so I just threw them in a box somewhere now I have to go find them. Thanks for this, sometimes the easiest things are so hard to think of lol

Got my car from car ad and mine never had those. But my 3 year old is always kicking the seat anyways so no biggie but nice fix if I had them I would definitely do this.

Thanks Hawk. My daughter and a friend were the first to sit in the rear seats this weekend and knocked them off. I like fixes like those.
