can a bad power seat motor or the power seat switch be replaced? my seat moves forward and back wards but will not go up or down etc. not sure if its the switch or motor. found a seat in salvage yard and wanted to know if i can remove the parts from it and fix mine?
Every part, screw, clip and fastener on your truck can be replaced.
Remove the seat from the truck, rig a battery with alligator clip + & - leads to test the seat motor and switch positioned so you can see what is happening (upside down).
Everybody on this forum with these old trucks should have a can of CRC Electronics cleaner so break that out and use it.
