Default Drained Battery Issue Resolved

All --

Yes, I am a newbie. So I have gone back and read through many of the posts regarding the H3T battery drain issue, but I've not yet found a post that had a "definitive" solution for this problem. This H3T is new to me -- and the dealership put in a new battery before I picked it up -- but obviously the battery was not the problem. Does anyone have any recent experience with this issue and any possible leads to a resolution?

Help!

JP.

Yes. First, everything H3 not body related is directly transferable to the H3T.

Are you still using the Crappy Azzed OEM Battery Terminal Connectors?????? If so, you found your problem. They are known garbage!

Hack off the for chit OEMs and replace with a quality aftermarket set like Stingers or your favorite brand. #1 mod to do to every H3/H3T.

I have posted this probably 100 times plus. When you google H3 Hummer Battery Terminal Connectors, the Google pic top bar third over that comes up is mine from my old 2007.

When I found my 09 Alpha Off Road I was able to knock down the purchase price because it was sitting a while and when they jump started it it had all the crazy issues that come up which I knew would be immediately corrected by swapping out the hunk o terd OEM Battery Terminal Connectors. I cut the deal, put in on paper with deposit conditional on my test battery connector. Went to the auto parts and bought one cheap positive terminal, installed it, and bingo it started without jumping, the codes and DIC warnings all went away and ran smooth. They thought I was nuts, then they thought I was getting too good a deal.

Knowledge is power and $$.

Also monitor resting voltage.

Please follow up and let us know if the Battery Terminal Connectors do the trick after you confirm resting voltage. There are other possible things to look for, but easy known stuff first.

So I did finally get a chance to change out the batter cables and seems to have done the trick. Two weeks and no problems. So thank you all for the advice.

Problem has definitely continued despite changing out the battery cables and the battery and the #66 fuse box relay and the battery in my key fob. Car still decides not to start every couple of days. Security system locks me out for 10 minutes and then it will start. Not sure what to try next.
