I need help. What can cause my cv axle to keep popping out of the differential? I had a leak and replaced the shaft seal. That then caused it to start leaking from the actual cv axle. After taking it back apart we realized that the axle wasn’t in all the way. We popped it in and I drove it. The next day there was a fresh puddle of oil. We put it back in and examined what could he causing this, but with the axle being good and the seal not being pinched I’m puzzled.

 

Replace the snap ring.

 

Are they oem/ac delco units or aftermarket? If aftermarket, most of the ones available are shorter than stock and they pop out during large suspension articulation (big drop for example)
otherwise check they are seated properly and held in place tightly from the start ( as stated before me )
