Default Crooked H3

Hey guys I'm new here but been stalking around for awhile. I finally got me a h3 4 months ago. This afternoon I noticed it was leaning to the passenger side so I did some measurements. First I checked the tires of course and they were identical. The driver side measures from the ground to the bottom of the flare 40". The passenger side measures 39". The driver side bump stop is 3/4" farther from the axle than the passenger side and the driver rear shock is extended 3/4" farther. Any advice on this? It will drive me insane knowing that it isn't perfect. I had a carfax before I got the car and have visually inspected the frame and can find absolutely no signs of anything bent or where it has been repaired.

Adjust the keys at each side to get proper levels. There are videos out there.

Adjust torsion bars and level your truck, it tends to lean to one side if they're not adjusted correctly. In the rear check leafs and shackles.

For the front measure from the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender flare. Should always stay below 23.5" your rear should become pretty close to themselves when you even the fronts out.

Both front passenger and front driver measure the same. The front has been cranked to 23.5 already. The shackles and leafs seem to be fine. Could the rear passenger shock be blown?

Shocks provide NO Lift, so that would be irrelevant.

Since none of us know when your front was set to the 23.5 already....... usually, after first adjusting the T Bars, you will need to check them again after some driving to get the front set.

You should also know there was an old TSB out there about the rear suspension not being level side to side. Essentially what it said was to loosen the leaf shackle bolts (just loosen, not remove) then do some bumper monkey moves to jounce the rear of the truck a few times to free up any leaf spring bind at the shackles, then re-torque the shackle bolts.

The front was done before I got it but it measures 23.5 on both sides so I don't see how that could effect the rear by 1 whole inch. Do you have any measurements from the ground to bottom of the flare on the rear. Do you think the 39" side is rite or the 40" side is rite?

Measurements to the ground are only as good as the ground is level, if it is not parked on a flat level surface, your measurements could be an infinite series of results, none of which establish whether the truck is level side to side.

OK, let's give it another go....

I will try thag when I get home I was just wondering if there was sort of a "base line" number I needed to get to. Loosen both bottom shackle bolts and then jump then retighten I'm assuming?

I would loosen both the top and bottom shackle bolts both sides. If you have a friend, neighbor, family member that is of large volume, they can help you get that rear end moving a bit. It sounds silly, but that was the TSB from GM oh how to address it??

Best of luck.
