Anyone know why this wouldn't work on a 2006 3.5?

 

Don't see how it could be a 'Cold Air' intake if it's drawing in engine bay air?

 

That's a "HOT" air intake
Don't waste your $150!

Buy an AirDoc and a washable (not oiled) AEM filter for the OEM box.

 

I can tell you why , it’s sucking in HOT AIR...

Yea that looks like it would work. I still have the oem air intake system and it works splendidly.

 

Looks more like an air fryer. Throw some chicken wings inside the metal intake pipe and within minutes they will be ready for sauce.

 

If you wan to get cooler air, get a snorkel. It draws cooler air from above rather than the stock locatiom in the fender that gets the air from below (warmer).
the airdoc system will give you a less restrictive system under the hood too
