Is there a way to test coils? 2007 3.7l

yes, if you're getting a misfire, swap the coil pack with another and get the code again, see if the misfire follows the swapped coil pack

I got a p0301 code and replaced the coil under waranty then today the code came back

Look at the wire harness to that coil pack for cracks, frays, distress, rubbing etc......
