Default Cannot get heater to blow hot.

This is a repost. The blower works and AC works. However when I turn **** to heat it still blows cold unless I do factory reset and sometime it will get hot. Any help would be appreciated.

First I would check to see if the radiator has enough fluid in it. If so, feel the heater hoses going into your firewall to see if they are getting hot. Other items to look for would be the heater control valve, or thermostat.

find the heater hoses, there should be two of them, one for inlet one for outlet. Both should be warm/hot. If only one is hot and the other is cold, then it is your heater core that is the issue.

The heat comes on somtimes and when it does I have to do the factory reset then I hear a few thuds under dash like a flap is closing then heat blows. I am assuming the heater core is good and yes radiator is full.

Try this Actuator Calibration Procedure out of the Service Manual. If that doesn't work, your actuators may be faulty.

1. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
2. Turn the Temperature dial all the way to the right.
3. Turn the blower control dial all the way to the right.
4. Turn the mode position dial all the way to the left.
5. Simultaneously press and hold the A/C and Defrost buttons until the LED's start to flash.
6. Once the LED's stop flashing, calibration is complete.

Yes i have done that and it is the only way I can get the heat to work. How would I replace the actuator for cold to hot?

The actuator has a stripped worm gear but still functions however the female end is kinda stripped also so I am not sure who is not working.
