Default Battery wires/terminals replace?

Has anyone replaced their positive and negative wires? ther negative terminal is corroded, but the positive looks good. i was wondering if i could get away with replacing the negative battery wire/terminal with an after market one.

a new positive and negative battery wires OEM sold together, looks a bit pricy... 126.00

i cut off most of clamp but saved the acc threaded stud. ran it thru brass batt clamp...solid.
this saved the factory crimp.

Is the issue your wiring or just your terminals? My terminals are loose however the wiring is fine so I ordered a $30 kit off of Amazon and am waiting for a quiet weekend to put them on. There's no reason you'll have to replace both if the other one works. Just make sure you have all the parts or another vehicle because you're DOA when you cut those cables!

The stock POS battery terminals are the first thing EVERY H3 owner should replace; NOW, not later. Use stingers, or any other good, solid brand. Those OEM terminals are the cause of many, many H3 seemingly unrelated gremlins since the H3 is extremely sensitive to voltage variations. It's not a matter of :"if" they will fail, it's a matter of "when"...even if they "look" good.

I highly doubt I could have said it any better.

Those are very aerodynamic, but I went with these brass marine ones with a stud. Cut and drill original terminal ends. Cheap, fast and easy. I prefer the connection over the set screw. They even fit under the original covers. Went so well I did both sides while the garage door was open to our first snow storm.

well I can't get photos to appear...
