Yes, the problem was there with the "old" battery (Just 1.5 years old). New battery was tested and verified with a hydrometer, and with a machine at PEP.

My first suspects were: OnStar; Radio; Alarm. So ALL of them were disconnected. In fact, radio was completely disconnected, since its fuse is the same for the A/C.
I also removed fuses for seat heaters and Sirius.

Plan B. A problem for quite a few H3s is the wiring harness at the back of the truck to the tail lights and license plate light. Open the back door, look between the bumper and chassis where the wires go to the license plate light and trailer hitch (if you have one), on some trucks those wires rub on the chassis through the wire insulation and cause a short to the body.... which if that is what is going on, repeatedly drains the battery.

Check that out and let us know. It did it to mine until a re-routed the wires for more room and no rubbing. A friend had the same issue, and there is a thread bringing that up somewhere on here?

I just took a look 2 minutes ago. Black plastic cover is intact. No exposed metal. (I confess I hoped that was the problem!)

Well, that covered the easy stuff. Gonna take more work to figure out what yours is doing.

Good luck.

recheck that huh?

and,[QUOTEbattery cables get really hot, so hot ][/QUOTE]

NO wires should ever run hot. you really should monitor the volt s at off, startup, and running.
without that we know nothing.

About the fuse: Page 428 Manual 2007 Fuse 13 : Radio, heating, air conditioning display, ventilation. In fact, when I Removed that fuse, no a/c came out.

Check your hand brake (foot brake). There are some wires that lay right behind the spring. That spring cut off the insulation on 4 wires on mine and made havoc. (blown fuses and burnt out my BCM module.

No, no problem there (sadly!)

Can someone tell me the exact location of the BCM in my H3? A picture will help a lot.
