Question Any service tips for wheel berings? Long trip plans

Hey Folks,
Planning a trip over 1,000 miles on my 06 H3 with 110,500 miles on the clock.

So recently replaced the radiator, did the trans flush and filter and oil change. Tires are real good.

Wondering about the hubs/wheel bearings. Do they require grease or any service need? Any other long distance tips??\\

Thanks!

Non maintenance item. Check your CV axle boots for tears. Other than listening for odd noises, no preventive maintenance on wheel bearings.

Hey brotherpig and hummerz,

Thanks for those tips. Will check b4 rolling out next week...

Heading down from De to Fla. going to bring a few things like a crash kit. Just in case. Spark plugs, coils some tools and of course a fishing rod.

Substitute sand for snow...

Thanks Doc. All quiet on the wheel fronts.

Old school boys remember packing wheel bearings. Those days are gone.

You gotta remove clean inspect those wheel bearings for damage/burnt spots to determine condition before repack!

Perhaps a AAA membership is in order if you don't already have one.
