Default Airbag warning light issue

Hey guys, I have a 06 hummer h3 and having an airbag light issue. Every time I roll down my driver side window, in 15 seconds my airbag light will come on. Once I roll it up, in 5 seconds it will go off. However, if I open my door the airbag light will go off and stay off. I have replaced my front driver side airbag sensor and the body control module via a mechanic pretty much limiting it to the driverside door. My question, is this common in hummers, is it a short with wiring, or a side sensor problem? Input would be greatly appreciated.

You need to scan with a capable OBDII scanner and post the code(s) for us to help. There is like 35+ things that could be going on and nothing but a wild guess without codes. If there are no codes, that would also be good to know.

BTW, do you have a sunroof and if so, has the floor been wet?

B0070 Possible Causes

Faulty Right Front/Passenger Roof Rail/Head Curtain Bag
  • Right Front/Passenger Roof Rail/Head Curtain Bag harness is open or shorted
  • Right Front/Passenger Roof Rail/Head Curtain Bag circuit poor electrical connection
  • Faulty Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM)

How is the B0070 code repair?

Start by checking the "Possible Causes" listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector's pins.
