Default 3.7 swap for 2006 3.5?

I have a 2006 H3 Adventure package. 111k. The 3.5 threw a rod a few days ago, 1 week after I bought it. Does anyone have insight into possible 2007 3.7L swap? There is at least one example on a Chevy Colorado forum and most everything looks the same to me. Thanks

Oh yeah, a real beauty alright.
You can buy them that way, its called an Alpha, and they have zero issues, even idle correctly, and can be built to do whatever you want.

To the OP's question. You can swap a 3.7 in where a 3.5 was, you will need a new PCM, a TB off an 07, and will have to get it programmed when together. Not exactly a true bolt in swap, but pretty darn close.

... and the Tcase, trans, diffs, etc. won't go BOOM as soon as you get to 60% throttle.

While I commend people for the time, $, $, $ and effort an engine swap in an H3/H3T takes. Swapping can and will in most cases cost more than buying an Alpha.
