Default 2009 Hummer H3 saves lives

April 3, 2021, we were hit on the rear driver's side wheel by a full-size pick-up truck, launched in the air, spun 180 degrees, and landed on the passenger side. Thanks to the Hummer H3 being build like a tank and everyone using safety restraints, no significant injuries were sustained. My Hummer H3 is the best truck in the world, and I desperately hope they can repair her. Any advice is welcome on how to make certain she can be back to 100%. It's a shame the Hummer H3 was discontinued. Everyone I know now want to purchase one after learning how well 2 adults, a 6-year old, a 4-year old, and a 10-year old great dane handled such a horrific accident.

After everyone evacuated through the driver's side doors.

Once relocated by the tow truck.

The location of the impact by the pick-up truck.

unfortunately the insurance will total out the vehicle so it will not be back on the road. start looking for another one and try transfer what is salvageable.

Holy crap! Glad everyone is okay!
I got plowed from behind at a stoplight in '17 by a lady going 45 in a dodge ram p/u. She used my altima for breaks. Thrashed my spine in three locations. Accidents suck, and can be life changing.. glad to hear your rig saved you and your loved ones!

Yeah, Insurance will probably total it. That is about how my K5 Blazer looked when I got it and I wheeled it for a good 5 years that way, I say just buy it out from the insurance and turn it into a mud pig.

I am so so glad and thankful y'all were safe. Yup our Hummers are built to protect us...drivers and passengers. My 2006 H2 with 40K miles got rear ended last July 2019, got total loss by my insurance but me and my son fix it up and now my H2 is good. Good luck in looking a replacement for your H3.
