OK, so, back again, took it to a recomended shop in our area, and yes right and left converters are just under 30% efficiency, one side is discontinued, the other not yet but is dam hard to find, est cost is $3900 for parts and labor. Car has over 175k miles on it so brought it home till we can figure out what the next step is. Just in case, bought the scanner "hummerz" mentioned, it's the Autel MS300 and the codes are P0420/430. Also, the code B2aaa PD came up twice, I know PD means pending, tried searching the code and a number of descriptions came up, so what is it? Right now, the registration is past due and needs smog test to bring current. I read about wiping the code to turn off the check engine light and other "tricks" to get it to pass, given the current circumstances, would this work or are we stuck for the time being?

I swear, this H3 is turning into a troubleshooting project! After the rain in SoCal the other day, the drivers side floor is wet, son says that's happened before, now I know why, The Sunroof! Found the link to the post here for this problem, so I'm going to pop over there and see what I need to do. Also, how do you take off the plastic cover over the drivers side air bag, the one on the colum? Previous owner installed a bluetooth reciever there and the wire is just hanging there since the windshield was replaced last year and I want to take it out. If I could just cut it I would, but I'm pretty sure that would be a bad idea.
