Default 2" body lift question

I was thinking of doing a 2" body lift on my 06. Has anyone done this that can answer a few questions? I can find a lot of info on 1" lifts, but not 2".. It seems that with the 1' lift, its just a matter of doing it and everything works right. What about the 2" lift? Will any lines/hoses need to be refitted? Im not worried about doing it, I just wanna get all my ducks in a row before I put myself out of a ride for a few days waiting on parts that I might not have on hand.
Thanks

I would stick with the 1"body lift.

The steering linkageiss the largest concern along with the wire looms to the BCM, trans, etc.
Mods to the radiator shroud will also be needed.

Why do you want to go 2"?

Thanks for the reply
Honestly,..... Im thinking Im wanting to go with 2" because 1" (in my mind) seems like not enough. I would hate to go through all the trouble doing a 1" just to stand back and say "dang,, I cant even tell I did it"... But I really don't know, sometimes 1" is a lot.
I just put 35's on and they fit fine and look good too, but its almost like now the truck needs to be a few inches higher to better proportion the tires.
Im not wanting to do it for "better wheeling capabilities" , just mainly for looks.. Ill take my truck through the woods and maybe a creek to get to where Im going, but I don't get out and try to get it stuck( I got a four wheeler for that).
Do YOU think a 1" lift will make a noticeable difference?
Thanks

Yes, you will notice the 1" body lift.

Forgot the 2" body lift will also have a huge 2" gap between the front bumper and grill also the rear bumper and rear door.

thanks again!
Maybe Ill try to find some side by side comparisons to look at to see just what 1" body lift looks like. On a side note, Im real happy with my new tires. they actually drive better and feel better than the originals.

I know that this is off the subject, but I pull a *kinda* heavy trailer with a 4 wheeler on it and it sags my rear end. What are some options I have on stiffening it up a little to keep it from sagging?
Also, I never upgraded shocks after I leveled it and would like to now. I might be more interested in the "tighter" shock.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

You can try air bags on the rear or adding the main leaf from a Chevy 1500 spring pack. Shackles would lift it but not help with overload or spring recurve.

A 2" bodylift was done on two rigs I know off, one is documented on another forum. Despite what we all thought, the person doing it didn't have any problems but required a longer radiator hose to be done. However, I have to agree with Tainter that the front and rear bumper gaps are really bad with a 2" body lift. At 1" you won't notice but at 2" some filler panels (or modify the bumper and raise it up) need to be done to get away with it.... The person who documented it bed lined the rear gap body color (and it looks fine). As for the front he was making a filler panel but I don't recall seeing the finished work. Side wise I think he raised his sliders to cover some of the gap.
If you want to clear 37s, 1" will do. If you want to add 37s with aftermarket wheels, 2" (or a rancho suspension lift) will be needed.
