07 H3 Alternator and Starter Replaced 140,000mes No Cranks
My Rig is at a mechanics shop. Alternator and Starter replaced and now she wont crank. Passlock on dash stays solid u til you crank then it blinks - no crank- the back to solid after a few seconds. Fuses and grounds check out Battery is 2 days old. Ignition switch replaced. Auto alarm locksmith came to diagnose. Power going to switch and from pcm. No signal to starter to crank. (mechanics diagnosis)… what to do???
Find a competent Mechanic, like a real one that actually can diagnose a problem and repair it.
Ask the shop if they took apart the fuse box (removed the top fuse block from the bottom tray and two main harness connectors). If you do not put that back together, there will be issues like yours.

You might also ask those same Bozos if they have confirmed the integrity of the Starter wiring, these trucks are old and corrosion in the Positive wire can interrupt continuity and poor ground will not complete the circuit through the starter.
Awesome thanks for the insight. They said they never pulled the fuse box and starter is getting power but nothing at the “purple” circuit wire to starter. Relay issue or CIRCUIT Wire PIGTAIL replacement maybe?

There is resistance in the system (in the ignition switch), which is controlled by the control unit. It could be damaged, or change its resistance over the years. So the car won't start. Common problem. Usually this is eliminated from the brains of the computer.
Thank You for the insight. Could not find a locksmith with the Tech2 OBD2 to flash it. Shes sitting on a GM lot waiting for my pockets to get abused. Either way leaving GM she should be up and running. Will post an update. Thank You all.
Doc. Thank You again. As you stated, continuity was checked and signal wire was the issue, It just cost me 1,050 for GM and 350 for the geniuses to not take my advice you gave. Definitely not going back to them. Thanks again.
