Default 06 h3 instrument cluster dead

Started up my h3 today and the entire instrument cluster was dead. Truck still ran fine just no gauges worked. Turn off and on many times still same. One final try and everything worked fine. Any clues what is going on here??

You probably have a loose fuse, or a dead one. Its a simple 20GA fuse I believe, could be a 10GA. Pop your hood, take the cover off your fuse panel and look for cluster on the underside of the cover, pull the fuse and put a new one in

When it went off did it stop recording the mileage?

The issue I found was the firing wasn’t locked into the bottom of the fuse box.
Pull the fuse box out and there is two harnesses cam locked into the bottom side. Neither one was locked in but the fuse box was locked in on the driver side the side closest to the engine wasn’t all the way down. Was hard to find!!! Had to wiggle the wires a ton to find it.
