Hummer H2 SUT For some who need the usefulness of a truck, but do not want to compromise the Hummer look, the H2 SUT does just that.

Default Seat swap

Hello all,

I am thinking about pulling the trigger on a 05 SUT. However, I really wanted to update the interior a bit.

I was wondering if the 05 seats could be swapped for maybe the 08-09 seats. Would it be a direct swap or would I have to take the railing and brackets off the 05 seats?

any input is welcomed!

You want to swap seats in a 05 SUT that you don't own?

I guess what I’m basically asking is if the 08-09 seats can fit in an 05 H2 SUT and is there any modification required.

I own a 2005 H2 SUT and have rear buckets from a 2009 in aswell as both front seats.
the rears bolted right in in place of the old bench. You do have to use the wiring harness from the bench seat. Both the passenger and drivers side harness from the plug at the floor to the seat heater plug. It will connect right into the 2008-09 rear seat heater plug.

@Lifestyle So to confirm... the 08/09 front seats will bolt and plug in with stock connectors? That is good to know! Same with the rear bench??

Default 08/09 seats

Yes the front seats will bolt right in on the 03-07’ models. You will need to repo/move a couple pins around on the seat harness but it’s all wire for wire between the years.
I had the 08/09’ seat harness connector ends from the 08/09’ so I’d cut and wired them into my 05’ seat harness.
as for the rears, I have an SUT so I’d used the rear buckets from a 09’ H2 SUV and swapped them into mine. You must wire in the rear seat heaters for the midgate window to work thow. They are on the same circuit.

Boom! - I think I have another project to add to my to-do list... I prefer the 08/09 seats to the 03-07... I had done a seat swap on my 08 SUV to convert from black to brick and I have a set of black seats in storage... now I can use them for the SUT!

I really like the idea and while looking for some seats, found out the seatbelts aren’t included on the front seats, how did you make this work? Thanks!
