Z Man..Now You Can See In The Dark And Blow Your Ears Out
Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
Dude.... It's all subjective... No matter what test you use...There are infinite things that effects the sound. Your YT Video...menas nothing but boom. Your not testing anything But a Booming sound coming over the internet which is compressed for transmission and into your system which is affected by the design and placement of your subs...your room acoustics ...your ears which are microphones ... and your Brain which interprets the sound to you.
You my friend are in a world of what sounds good to you is the right thing for you. It is not the end all Perfect thang. Trust me.... I have been in the live sound and installation business over 50 years and worked for many Audio Companies.... Don't be fooled by the hype.
There Ideas Of reproducing sound was different from the norm when it came to home audio speakers in the way of "Reflected Sound" In regards to the "901 Bose Speaker" Firing 90% of the sound to the rear and letting bounce off the rear wall kind of caused a lot of crazy talk in the industry.

My vision may have deteriorated over the the years, however my hearing is still SHARP!
Always listened to (((((LOUD))))) music in my homes- vehicles- bars- that I've owned over the years and I can still here a pin drop.
I do get stints of Tinnitus that will clear after a few minutes. The most important thing as a previous bar owner & DJ, I can still detect the proper sound output platform pleasant to my ears.
I love my 901's. Have my basement TV running through an Outlaw Audio RR 2150 into the 901's.
That speaker is a Different design. It is as Mentioned a reflecting speaker. There are two camps. One that says Direct sound from the speaker is the the best ...and the other says reflected sound is the best.
Most all Mfg's Test Their speakers in an Anechoic Chamber which is devoid of any sound. The speaker is place in the center with a special calibrated microphone at 4 feet on Axis of the speaker. Pink noise is played thru the speaker and measured at 4 feet. The speaker then gets is "SPL" Rating and Polar Pattern chart showing freq responce at different points on the pattern.
How they would test the 901 which fires sound to the rear off your wall is to confusing to explain. They never were a Popular speaker. But like you...a lot of people love them...... THAT IS A GOOD THING... As what sounds good to you... is the best speaker for you.

Being a BAR owner and a DJ is nice. But does not give you a degree in Audio Engineering and Design. It does however make you someone who likes what he likes and here's what he here's and then lets you form an opinion on a speaker or whatever. That is a good thing. The whole topic of Audio is SUBJECTIVE ...meaning ...if it sounds good to you then it is good. I have known 100's of DJ's over the years. They are good at what they do and like equipment they like... but does not make them an expert when it comes to Audio engineering.
But it does make them an expert in the equipment they use and what they like. So..blow your brains out with those 18 " subs and great fruit tweeters and enjoy life.
