Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Who Had to clean the H2's Headliner That was water Stained??

Not in 2 million years....!!!

I've seen this before... He loves to rip his HUMMER H2 apart... Nice guy for making that video... Lot of work.... He has several out there. My headliner was replace after i got hit years ago in the rear lower plastic side bumpe-ett. The guy spun me around 180*. The rian had just stopped and the road was wet and I started across and intersection and he hit me just as I got across in the tail. His car was destroyed. My Driver side and passenger side Airbags went off.

When the bags cam down they were supposed to slide over the the plastic trim in the headliner. There were some very small tears in the liner. The dealer took advantage of that and replaced the entire head liner and both 8 foot long side airbags.

The actual damage was only to the plastic bumper-ett and the airbags on the passenger & driver side. Total Bill to the guys insurance company.....$6400.00.. about $200 or so of that was to repair the bumper-ett the rest was headliner and air bags.

Default Can confirm - Brake cleaner

So that means a Complete headliner clean. That would take days and my arm could fall off.
next door neighbor is the regional manager for a body shop chain. He said the same thing break cleaner.. because water based cleaning will cause the glue to fail.

Thanks... I know the glue would fail with water ...but what will break cleaner do? Seems it would eat the glue on contact. There are no grease stains... just brownish water stains here and there, but I want to do the complete headliner .

I ask a detail pro yesterday how they do it.
This is what he told me, Combine white vinegar and dish soap to form spray bottles. . Spray bottle of the solution on a brush with a clean brush in a circular motion to remove water spots. Use a little cleaner to remove the stain. Apply a damp towel to absorb any moisture.

I’m going to try it in a small spot, if it fails I have it replaced with a dark grey headliner.
Got a better price too on the total redo of a headliner as well.

I cleaned mine using one of those automotive carpet cleaner in a spray can that has a plastic bristle brush on the lid. Lightly spray, use the plastic bristle brush, dries in a few minutes on a warm day.... Then hit it with a Shop-Vac. Worked fantastic.
