Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Ok Now that I think I have the answer to my leaky H2 from Robert, I want to have it cleaned of the brownish stains. Problem is you can't get the headline to wet or the glue will deteriorate and you'll end up with a droopy liner.

How did you clean yours or what's the best method you used? I've seen a bunch of Youtube Videos , but I'd rather hear from you guys or gals for proof of the pudding.

Thanks: Mark R

I had a local detailer, who specifically listed headliners on their website, give it a shot. In the end, it was maybe 20% better. Not worth the $$ it cost.

Thanks HellHoof,
Yeah..I checked a few places but they did not seem to happy or experienced in doing headliners. In fact one told me Falt out "NO F-ing Way"
I'll just keep on searching around..

steamer and probably get away with brake cleaner, basically dry cleaning chemicals, obviously test on an area you can hide
like under visors. i had stains right where headliner meets front grab handles and it worked well.

That scares me..Break Cleaner???? Anyway..maybe worth a try on a hidden area. I also tried "Tuff Stuff". Seemed to work ok but took a lot of scrubbing. I'm also dealing with Cigar smoke. I smoke sometimes in the 2. and after you use the cleaner the area you cleaned is clear, but the brownish stain where you stopped shows the edge of the end of scrubbing. So that means a Complete headliner clean. That would take days and my arm could fall off.

Yeah That would be cool... Take the 2 to a Dry Cleaner and crash thru the front and say... How much to dive it into the cleaning fluid....LMAO.
But you are on point there. I wonder if they have some sort of portable dry cleaning system for large items? Good point..I'll look into that.

As far as your headliner being black... What about some spray Dye? You would probably have to mask of the interior, but that might be a lot cheaper the a new one.

Just My $.02 worth...BWTFDIK do I know.

break cleaner or steam are not good ideas. both will attack the adhesive in some form. what use is a clean headliner if its flapping on your eye brows. i guess it could wipe the sweat off your brows as you drive.

As far as dry cleaning goes 🤷🏼‍♂️

Maybe a brush on back to black, yeah I don’t know much either on that subject.
It ain’t bother me much anyway as I keep my eyes on the road all the time 👀

Default Patience is a virtue

Remove to clean. Before reinstall add the Rolls-Royce starlight headliner lighting.
