What's the cheapest way to get 2" of lift on a 2008 Hummer H2?
Good day to all! I'm looking to get about 2" of lift on my factory 2008 Humner H2. I don't have much money to spare. I do not take her offroad ever. She is my daily street driver. However I do want to give her a boost up of about 2 inches. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!
Any of the basic leveling kits you can find. They are pretty much all the same thing. It's just re-indexed torsion bar keys, shock extension brackets, and coil spring spacers for the back. Only catch is if you have rear air suspension - then it is not so simple as you then need spacers for the air bags and would need to fabricate extensions for the air ride height sensors.
Hummer Charlie, I went this route not too long ago. I went with Supreme Suspension 3 inch keys and 3 inch spacers.... of course, you are looking for 2 inches, so you would get the 2 inch keys and spacers
I had air suspension and wanted it gone, so I also swapped out the springs. I believe at 2 inches you are right at the edge of the stock shock distance, but I might be wrong. I know with 3 inches I had to get new shocks. I also got 4 new spring perch rubber pads, so the truck wont squeak when the springs move. Given, I needed them because I didnt have them with my air suspension. But I would say since you are in there, might as well. I think they are like 25 for a set of 2, so the benefit of new low cost part, out weighs the labor to pulling everything to replace them when you need to later... I think my whole lift cost me 7-800, but thats because a huge chunk was the springs, shocks, pads, and etc OEM switch over..... otherwise...it would have cost me about 200 or less
Hope this helps

Another route to go is with a body lift if you don't want to mess with the suspension.
Can I ask why the need for a 2" lift?
Bigger tires, or just want to go higher?
I kind of like my 37's with the factory height.
Any more and I wouldn't be able to get it in the garage.

Mine barely fits in the garage with stock 35s, keys and spacers.
