Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
About to pick up a 2004 H2, went to look at it today. It needs a few things, one of them is these plastic pieces are broken on the very top of the truck. What are these called, and anyone know where I could find replacement ones?
Dang - looks like they mangled both of the roof rack/luggage carrier rails and both of the end pieces are missing as well as the rear corner lights. Parts are not cheap for these.... Link below for part numbers.
Looks like you need all 4 of the first parts listed. Can find them on eBay usually. For the lights there are used OEM ones or aftermarket ones on eBay as well.
I think I found some lights on Amazon... I think with buying both of those from ebay, and some lights from amazon, and maybe some universal weather stripping and nuts/bolts, should be good to go?
You may need to dig through more of the pats pages to be sure. There is a metal rail as well plus the plastic part.
Hopefully the interior is all there and good. Many of the parts for H2's have become very expensive due to their age. An excellent condition door panel can run well over $500 as an example...

Gotcha, thank you. I think the roof plastic is in two separate pieces that meets in the middle, hard to tell because the vehicle is not with me at the moment.
The problem with silicone is eventually a bulb will burn out. That means you will have to cut the silicone. Silicone is extremely hard to remove from anything (just about requires mechanical removal) and you know what sticks to silicone well? Pretty much nothing including new silicone.
It does work though. And you can always spread new silicone even further out to get it on new surfaces to reseal. A LOT do use it though - to each their own.
Now down in the deep cerner light pockets where the original molded grommet has hardened and shrunk.... go for it. Gotta put something down in those. Just not on the smaller lights in the middle - get new gaskets for those.
