Default Trouble Installing (Black) Billet Door Handle Buckets & Handles

So as I'm downrange and can't do the work myself, I had a mechanic attempt to perform the install, but stated the spring is too narrow & can't get the latch mechanism to work. Does anyone that's installed these have input as to what the issue is? The parts are from Hummer Parts Club.

Pic 1: says latch doesn't fit
Pic 2: says spring is too thin
Pic 3: stock assembly

I'll look through my pics. I'm calling BS though. I bought cheap replacements when I did my billet buckets and used all the new hardware from the new plastic buckets on my billet buckets and never had an issue.

I agree, think he's trying to pull one over on the GF. I was hoping you'd reply, the guru of great upgrades. Just talked to the company that designed & made them; supposed to be a stock 1 for 1 transfer. Unfortunately south of Fort Worth there are apparently some retarded mechanics. If I was home i'd just do it myself.

It's about to rain for 2 weeks & the GF did this the other day lol.

Default New Issues

So, before the mechanic touched the car it had no codes and everything worked fine including the radio. The girlfriend went to drive it to a different shop, and it didn’t start so they jumped it.

Once the truck was running it now throws three codes on the diagnostic tool, and the navigation unit is a blank white screen. Any ideas? I have no idea how working on the driver side door could lead to this LOL

This is why I rarely let anyone else work on my H2. Can you post the specific codes?

My neighbor let the GF borrow his reader, has a flashing C & EV, so down from 3 flashing to 2. So if she completes a drive cycle will my nav unit screen magically go from blank/white to useful again?

MONITOR STATUS- If the Car Reader’s LCD display shows a zero (indicating there are no DTCs present in the vehicle's computer), but the yellow LED is lit, it indicates a "Monitor Has Not Run" status. This means that some of the Monitors on the vehicle have not yet finished their diagnostic self-testing. This condition is confirmed by one or more blinking Monitor icons on the LCD display. A blinking Monitor icon means the Monitor has not yet run and finished its diagnostic self-testing. All Monitor icons that are solid have completed their diagnostic self-testing.

Thank you; based on that (cat and evap system) it's gotta be reset via drive cycle I'm guessing. Moral of the story don't let anyone touch your Hummer! lol

you probably need to make sure the battery is fully charged then disconnect it and make sure it gets reconnected securely so basically the radio probably needs a hard reboot
