Default Transfer Case problem

Hello everyone,
Recently I purchased an H2 2003 and it seems I have problems with the transfer case since they sold it to me it only works 4 x 4 hi locked and when I put the transmission in neutral I can change to the other settings but they don’t seem to respond properly. On 4 x 4 with out lock the vehicle act as if I was in neutral and in 4 x 4 lo it doesn’t seem like I gain any traction not even with the differential locked I got stuck in a small pile of snow.
Also when I’m driving sometimes randomly all the buttons flash at once.
Any information would be appreciated!

It sounds like it could be an issue with your transfer case actuator GM 88984528. Yours might either need to be serviced or replaced. It's a simple electric motor that rotates the transfer case selector shaft.

Clsimmon is correct.

Do check you connector to the actuator and clean if needed.

Additionally, don’t forget that the brakes and abs system is closely related to your TC. Do you have any other light on in the dash? Have you scanned your vehicle?
