Default Tire carrier latch (07 H2)
Pulled up the lever and swing bar released. Went to put it back in and the latch is still in closed position and I can’t get it to “open”. Couldn’t find other posts on same issue. The issue seems to the the latch and the piece you pull up to disengage. Maybe grease or WD-40?

I would bet a liberal amount of WD-40 and some gentle persuasion, will get it unstuck.
