Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
Hello hope all is having a great day. I have a question about the rear air suspension I'm guessing. At first my Hummer was sitting a little tilted to the right. Now it looks like it has lost all the air compression in the airbags on the rear. Does anyone have any ideas on what I need to check and possible fixes?
There are other threads that are active on this issue. Just search the forums for air suspension or air compressor. This is a common issue as H2s with rear air suspension age.
Rear Suspension Air Bags - you or your dealer can do a soapy water test to see if one or both are leaking. This is a common test that all GM dealers or your local shop can perform. IF you air bags are leaking, and you continue to use the vehicle and repressurize flat air bags, you will burn out the compressor, which is unobtanium... don't do it.
Air hoses - you or your dealer can do a soapy water test to see if any of these are leaking - typically where they attach to the air suspension or to the compressor. This is a common test that all GM dealers or your local shop can perform. Air hoses are no longer available and must be custom cut. That thread has good info on how to do this.
Check codes for a compressor issue. This is a common test that all GM dealers can perform.
If you have a compressor issue, there is nothing your GM dealer can do. These parts are no longer available. There are several threads with guys troubleshooting and rebuilding, or replacing with a used unit off eBay. The most common culprit is the level control solenoid on the compressor which either needs to be rebuilt or replaced with similar parts. The compressor can also burn out IF the air bags have leaks and it has to constantly refill them. If you fix your compressor, you must get the air bags replaced even if they have no leaks.

Hope this helps. @finall is like an expert in this area, so check his posts and you will find really good info...
Bruno thanks for your help. After checking under the vehicle and listening for air leaks I couldn't find any. So with looking under it and around the rear end I found one of my ride height sensors were broken. I fiddle with it for a few minutes and the Hummer lifted back up where it was supposed to be. So I've ordered two new ones because I figured I should go ahead and replace both of them. Once again thank you for all the info have a great day
Looks like @H2-G had a similar issue with his ride height sensors... see this thread below... check if they must be recalibrated when replaced. You may need a dealer to do that for you.
Good day. I got the the vehicle left it up so I could put the new ride height sensor then. Now my problem is trying to get the vehicle to set level again. Is there a way to let the air off of the air suspension or lower it by some other way? If anyone have any help on hints I would deeply appreciate it!
