stretching H2 to add second rear axle.
Does anybody have any build photos of how the rear frame was modified to add second axle. I am thinking of doing a tandum rear frame then adding the rear part from an H2T to my H2. . Thanks
Thank you very much. I saw that video about a rear ago. I like the design and would like to try one. His used the orginal drivetrain. The added axle is an H2 rear, you can see it when it passed over the camera. But I would like to see how and where the added frame connects to the vehicle frame.
The 6 wheeler in chevykev post was built by a friend of mine and has in fact just been sold.
I remember the truck before and after it was converted, have to say he did a really nice job on it!
One thing to watch, the addition brake lines extend from the original rear ones, so it's difficult to "balance" the "forces" thus one axle can lock-up without the other.
This was taken at the UK Speedfest event Brands Hatch 2018. It was a really good day, a Donald Trump impersonator was flown-in by a big helicopter and my friends truck was the presidentail vehicle in the motorcade.
Everyone though the real DT was paying a visit, so funny and a real cool day!
