Hey OP, try squirting in some Kroil. Let it soak in for at least 2 days. Stuff loosens (not breaks down) rust. That should help.
Or use some acetone and ATF, which is basically the same thing.

acetone is water soluble. it does not mix with oil. oil might hold it temporarily in suspension but it will separate if left alone.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have been soaking it with Kroil for several weeks. I will make a custom puller before i give up and drop the transfer case.

Have you hit it with any heat yet? I do not mean glowing red hot, just a mild heating with a MAP torch, then some vibration...... manually tapping with a ball peen hammer or even better, an air chisel with a wide blunt bit? Quick short waves of vibration are great at freeing seized parts.

mix it up yourself if you want the correct answer. i have. if it makes a difference i used some F-type i had.

Default Finally got the bugger out!

Made an adapter plate today to attach my slide hammer to the yoke. The splined shaft is finally free from the transfer case hollow bore front output shaft.
