Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
This morning when I was going to take the H2 to get washed and detailed, the "Service Air Suspension" message came on and the back end of the vehicle was riding real low. I parked the truck back in the yard and pulled my winch off the front and disconnected the power on the battery. I then checked the fuse, and that was good to go. When I hooked power back up and turned the truck on, the "Service Air Suspension" did not go off and I heard the compressor pumping. However, it was not getting any height. After reading through the forums, I knew to pull the key asap so the compressor didn't keep running so I didn't burn the thing up. When I inspected the air bags, there was absolutely dry rot and the passenger side air bag looked almost completely deflated, compared to the driver. So forgive me for asking, but do you guys think I just have a shot air bag and need to do a replacement? Here is the passenger side compared to the driver side:
